The Video Game Gene

My ancestors had long been blessed with a gene whose only function is to help one excel at video games. It simply hasn’t presented itself because video games only came into being during my generation.

My grandfather toiled in the fields just to get by, but had he been playing Harvest Moon or Farmville he would have been able to retire early.

My greatest great-great-grandfather was tasked with defending his village from the terror of dragons and did the best he could without the heavenly fairy chime of leveling up that he would have received from a proper RPG.

And here I am, today…doing what I must because I can…
