I’ve begun wondering if one of the main reasons we have so many military operations throughout the world is simply to fill the otherwise bottomless chatter voids during Holiday sportscasts and special events with good cheer and well wishes from and to the troops.

TV EXECUTIVE: “What do you mean we’re not at war anywhere, this year?! How in the hell am I supposed to transition back from commercial now?! You best paint a moustache on a country and start bombing as soon as possible!”
