Notes from the debate marathon… bloodlust… nonpartisan camera humping… boredom… Resident Evil

… WMUR’s Scott Spradling comes on and screws what has been an incredibly adorable pooch up to this point. ‘What are the differences between you and Barack Obama?’. Well hell…this could just be a dumb, dumb question to entertain those who will go for it in the crowd. Otherwise, he either hates Obama and wants the Republicans to tear him apart…or he’s a big fan and wants to give him face-time on their time…

…Repubs are done…group orgy with the democrats…what the hell could they actually be talking about…they must just have an agreement to mutter random latin just to make it look good…cause it goes on and on…even here they have to stand out…find completely unique awkward ways to hug, kiss, grope, and absorb each other…an alien orgy that is more offensive than it was intended to be heart-warming…and the audience encourages it…clapping longer than anyone should…

…Gibson work the Dems with a fear-mongering question of Nuclear threats…although it is ultimately a good question and produces decent responses…

…interest fading…I’m not a Republican…but the Democrats are somewhat boring from a pure entertainment perspective…they sorely miss Kucinich who like Paul can really mix things up and is at least goofy, loveable, and an elfin creature…this is much more like a student council debate…’I got nicer hair’…’I’m head cheerleader’…’Only I can truly guarantee us a choice between tater-tots and curly fries every Wednesday’…

…I look up and Bill Richardson talks about going head to head with Korea…Bill Richardson v. Korea starring Kurt Russell as Snake Plisken as Bill Richardson…

…the only real contentious and entertaining issue so far has been Iraq…flip-floppers and original sin…especially Hillary who has noticeably quickened her withdrawal plan as far as her words go following 3rd place in Iowa…

…Obama has everything going for him except a true authority on foreign affairs…nothing new…but he seems stronger all the time otherwise…

… WMUR’s Scott Spradling comes on and screws a less appealing pooch with tabloid questions about the candidates’ likeability…the candidates saving his dumbness by being genuinely quite charming and funny…the best reoccurring item of the night…though I feel dumber for laughing…so be it…

…one last funny jab at the end of the night…’What do you regret having done over the campaign ‘…affable honesty again… the key entertainment difference between the two debates tonight in favor of the Democrats…Richardson basically saying he has no intellectual credibility to be president, but is funny as hell in admitting he had supported a Justice White as his ideal Supreme Court Justice because Kennedy had appointed him…but later found out Justice White held beliefs pretty much entirely counter to Richardson’s and the Democrats’ platform…Richardson is a lot like me…don’t be specific Bill…you don’t know that much…but at least he admits it specifically, which is better than I can do…

…that’s it…had the Democrats been on first, perhaps I would have had the attention to enjoy them more…the facebook portion of the night was lame at best…who knows what really transpired there…could’ve been developed better…

Some small amount of diligence and writing has delayed what has been my greater passion tonight, which is to now watch Resident Evil: Extinction. If it in fact informs my political opinion as I suspect it might – regarding corporations irresponsibly running amuck and spreading zombie disease – I will pass these revelations along to you.

I’m Thomas K…and I’m not.
